In 2024, Ilocos Region’s fisheries production was estimated at 191,438 metric tons. This output was lower by 0.4 percent from the 192,279 metric tons in 2023.
In the fourth quarter of 2024, Ilocos Region’s commercial fisheries production was estimated at 2,145 metric tons. This output was higher than the 1,053 metric tons in the fourth quarter of 2023.
Marine municipal fisheries volume of production in Ilocos Region was estimated at 5,013 metric tons in the fourth quarter 2024. This is lower by 12.0 percent from the 5,699 metric tons production in the fourth quarter of 2023.
The volume of production from commercial fisheries was posted at 230.22 metric tons in 2024. This recorded a decrease of 65.81 percent from its level in the same period a year ago of 673.40 metric tons.
The Ilocos Region recorded a production of 2,215 metric tons in the commercial fisheries subsector in third quarter 2024. This was higher than the output of 1,470 metric tons in third quarter 2023.
La Union’s total volume of fisheries production in 2024 was recorded at 8,608.65 metric tons, a decrease of 23.81 percent from the 11,298.92 metric tons production in 2023.
La Union’s total volume of fisheries production in 4th quarter 2024 was recorded at 1,145.28 metric tons, a decrease of 20.30 percent from the 1,437.06 metric tons production in 4th quarter 2023.
La Union’s total volume of fisheries production in 3rd quarter 2024 was recorded at 1,349.22 metric tons, an increase of 0.68 percent from the 1,340.12 metric tons production in 3rd quarter 2023.
The volume of production from commercial fisheries was posted at 67.85 metric tons in 3rd quarter 2024. This recorded a decrease of 41.06 percent from its level in 3rd quarter 2023 of 115.12 metric tons.
The volume of production from commercial fisheries was posted at 56.10 metric tons in 2nd quarter 2024. This recorded a decrease of 63.68 percent from its level in 2nd quarter 2023 of 154.45 metric tons.
