The Philippine Statistics Authority - Regional Statistical Services Office I (PSA – RSSO I) conducted the 28th Philippine Statistics Quiz (PSQ) Regional Championship in San Juan, La Union on 15 November 2024.
Among the eleven (11) contestants who won the PSQ Provincial Elimination across Ilocos Region and represented their respective provinces for the contest, Pangasinan’s representative from the Kingfisher School of Business and Finance, Josh Macklin F. Aquino was hailed as the 28th PSQ Regional Champion and will represent the region to the National Championship on 05 December 2024. La Union’s quizzer from the Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University – Mid La Union Campus (DMMMSU-MLUC), Merrick Josh C. Baisac finished as the 1st Runner Up, while Ilocos Norte’s contestant from the Mariano Marcos State University (MMSU), Shanerille Mae Y. Espejo finished as the 2nd runner up.
The 28th PSQ Steering Committee and the Technical Committee were also awarded with Certificates of Appreciation for giving their invaluable time and effort during the event while contestants and their coaches were presented with Certificates of Participation.
