ILOCOS REGION - The Philippine Statistics Authority – Regional Statistical Services Office I (PSA – RSSO I) with the four Provincial Statistical Offices, conducted the Second Level Training on the January 2025 Consumer Expectations Survey (CES) on 04 to 05 March 2025. This round marks the first time that the province of Ilocos Sur will be conducting the survey, a significant milestone in expanding economic data collection in the region. The CES is an initiative of the PSA in collaboration with the Banko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP). The PSA is responsible in conducting the data collection while BSP is to generate the tables and analysis of the results.

The CES is a household-based survey on the consumers’ assessment of their family income, financial situation, and the economic condition of the country. The results of CES will guide planners in forecasting the direction of change of the economy as well as the behavior of key indicators such as inflation rate, interest rates and exchange rates. The enumeration is scheduled to start on 07 March 2025 until 19 March 2025.

The PSA encourages all the sample households to support and participate in the survey by giving accurate and truthful information.
