The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) - La Union Provincial Statistical Office gave recognition to its outstanding stakeholders and disseminated on latest survey results on 27 November 2024 at J&V Hotel and Resort, Sevilla, City of San Fernando, La Union.
The activity aimed to recognize the invaluable contribution of PSA’s partners who have been instrumental in the success of PSA activities, products, and services. It also recognized its most cooperative establishments that significantly contributed to the success of PSA establishment-based surveys.
The activity was attended by representatives from Local Government Units (LGUs), media, and sample establishments.
The event commenced with the opening remarks of Chief Statistical Specialist (CSS) Danites E. Teñido, PhD. In her message, Dr. Teñido extended her gratitude to the media partners for their role in disseminating accurate information. She also expressed her hope to everyone present for continued collaboration for better public service. Supervising Statistical Specialist (SSS) Teresa B. Olarte, Officer-In-Charge (OIC) of the PSA-Regional Statistical Services Office I (RSSO I) Statistical Operations and Coordination Division (SOCD) also graced the activity and delivered an insightful message.
Resource speakers from PSA-La Union included: CSS Dr. Teñido, SSS Malvin A. Quinto, Statistical Specialist II (SS II) Engr. Leny Grace S. Balanon, SS II Joselito C. Garcia, Registration Officer II (RO II) Girard Francis M. Casuga, Statistical Analyst (SA) Karl Josef G. Hufana, SA Engr. Mart Marciano Antonn A. Aromin, Assistant Statistician (AS) Mariela F. Casiňo, and PhilSys Focal Person (PFP) Joselito N. Lavaro. The resource speakers discussed the following topics: Background and Legal Authority in the conduct of ULE and Results of 2023 ULE; Updates on the 2024 Census of Population Community-Based Monitoring System (POPCEN-CBMS); 3rd Quarter 2024 Construction Statistics; Palay and Corn Statistics; Fisheries Statistics; Inflation Report; Updates on the Philippine Identification System (PhilSys); and Updates on the Birth Registration Assistance Project (BRAP).
An open forum was also conducted to address queries and clarifications from the participants.
The awarding of stakeholders followed that included awardees from the media and sample business establishments.
