The 2024 Census of Population and Community-Based Monitoring System (POPCEN-CBMS) commenced its data collection operation on the 15th of July. The Philippine Statistics Authority, through the Pangasinan Provincial Statistical Office, has established a strong partnership with the Provincial Government Office and Local Government Units particularly the Barangays. The PGO and LGUs showed their support and participation by hanging the official 2024 POPCEN-CBMS streamers in strategic areas across towns and cities of the province. This is to promote people’s awareness and to ensure a very high participation rate that will lead to the success of these two integrated major activities.

The hired Enumerators (ENs), Team Supervisors (TSs) and Census-CBMS Area Supervisors (CASs) were also enjoined to attend the City/Municipal Flag Raising Ceremony. They were warmly welcomed by the Local Chief Executives and Barangay Chairpersons during their conduct of courtesy call. These activities signified the start of the enumeration.

Seven (7) LGUs namely: City of Alaminos, Bautista, Binalonan, Burgos, Dasol, Infanta, and Mangatarem conducted the 2024 POPCEN-CBMS Bandilyo. The 2024 POPCEN-CBMS Bandilyo is a dedicated initiative for the promotion of the census undertaking through a form of roadshow or motorcade. During the activity, the official 2024 POPCEN-CBMS recorded audio public announcements were played during the roadshow. Information and education campaign materials such as primers and brochures were also distributed to the locals as part of the information campaign. Through the conduct of Bandilyo, residents were well-informed on the ongoing data collection, thus ensuring a well-participated 2024 POPCEN-CBMS.
