The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA -La Union Provincial Statistical Office and the Department of Social Welfare and Development La Union Field Office (DSWD–LUFO) have joined forces for the Philippine Identification System (PhilSys) Step 2 registration and authentication process for all the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) beneficiaries in Bauang, La Union.

The colocation that run from 26 February 2024 until 01 March 2024 aims to ensure that all 4Ps beneficiaries in Bauang, La Union are registered to the PhilSys.

The colocation strategy includes PhilSys Step 2 registration, authentication of PhilID and ePhilID, issuance of electronic PhilSys ID (ePhilID), and transaction number (TRN) retrieval for lost transaction slips to issue ePhilID once new TRN were allocated to them to provide registered persons with immediate access to the benefits of PhilSys while waiting for their PhilID to be delivered. 

The PhilSys authentication process involves identity verification of 4Ps PhilID or ePhilID holders through PhilSys Authentication Application, a complementary to their Family Development Sessions (FDS) that is conducted once a month to discuss various development topics. 

PSA-La Union and DSWD-LUFO have achieved significant milestone during this collaborative effort, facilitating a total of 595 registrations for PhilSys Step 2, and achieving a 100 percent authentication rate for ePhilID and PhilID holders and 569 ePhilID issuance.

PSA-La Union and DSWD-LUFO shall continue their collaboration in the PhilSys Step 2 registration and authentication for all the city/municipalities in the province of La Union to ensure the inclusion and welfare of 4Ps beneficiaries in the province.
