A total of 661,639 Filipinos in La Union have completely registered under the Philippine Identification System (PhilSys) Step 2 registration as of 29 February 2024 through the PhilSys team of the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) - La Union Provincial Statistical Office.

Step 2 registration involves the validation of demographic data and the capture of biometric information such as fingerprints, iris scan, and front-facing photo.

Since its initial implementation in the first quarter of 2021, successful registrants by city/municipality in La Union who have completed the PhilSys Step 2 registration are detailed in the table below.

This accomplishment underscores the dedication of PSA-La Union in ensuring the inclusion of every resident of the province of La Union to the PhilSys. By completing Step 2 registration, individuals contribute to the establishment of a more secure and efficient identification system, facilitating streamlined transactions and bolstering public service delivery.

PSA-La Union continuously conducts various strategic approaches to make PhilSys registration more accessible to unregistered individuals in the province. These include PhilSys mobile registration in various barangays of the province, institutional registration, and school-based registration.

Moreover, PSA-La Union also maintains its PhilSys Fix Registration Center (FRC) situated at Doña Pepita Bldg., Quezon Ave., Brgy. II, City of San Fernando, La Union and deploys PhilSys personnel at the Civil Registration Services (CRS) Outlet of PSA-Regional Statistical Services Office I (PSA-RSSO I), Parammata Bldg., Biday, City of San Fernando, La Union.

The valid proof of identity provided by PhilSys shall be a means to streamline public and private transactions while fostering social and economic platforms for enhanced service and financial inclusion.
