Stakeholders in Ilocos Region wrapped-up the month-long celebration of the 34th Civil Registration Month through its Regional Closing Ceremony conducted on 27 February 2024 at the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP), City of San Fernando, La Union. Officials and representatives of various Regional Line Agencies, Local Government Units, and media organizations joined the closing program.

Director Ofelia Viray of the BSP-La Union Branch, welcomed the participants. The BSP had been one of the major partners of PSA in its activities, through their benevolence as the venue host, the activity was a success.

Part of the Regional Closing Ceremony is the information dissemination on various topics about the programs and services of PSA and BSP. Registration Officer IV Zenaida Garcillan presented the overview on the 2023-2028 Philippine Strategic Plan on CRVS and the 2022 Vital Statistics. On the other hand, Administrative Officer III Joel Natura discussed about the services of the Civil Registry System-1 nformation Technology Project Phase II (CRS-ITP 2).

Meanwhile, Bank Officer V Marian Patosa of BSP - North-Luzon Regional Office presented about the digital payments. On the other hand, Information Systems Analyst Arvin Jay Casuga advocated the PSA Data Enclave and encouraged the users to avail of its services. OlC-Chief Statistical Specialist Teresa B. Olarte of PSA-RSSO I also presented the preliminary data of the 2023 Agri-Fishery production in the region.

In her closing message, Ms. Olarte thanked all the participants for their support to the 34th CRM celebration in the region.
