Municipal Civil Registrar (MCR) Laida G. Rico of Aringay and Liza Valenzuela, Local Civil Registry Office (LCRO) staff of Naguilian, were declared Champions in the 34^th Civil Registration Month (CRM) Provincial Quiz Bee for the City and Municipal Registrars (C/MCRs) and LCROs staff category, respectively, conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) – La Union Provincial Statistical Office on 05 February 2024 at PDRRMO Bldg., Brgy. Sevilla, City of San Fernando, La Union.

MCR Rico scored 34 out of 40 points after three rounds of multiple-choice, identification and enumeration questions. The top three spots for the C/MCR category were completed through a tiebreaker question between MCR Atty. Jake Danduan of Bangar, who clinched the 1^st Runner up, and MCR Zenaida Gomez of Rosario who landed as 2^nd Runner up.

Ms. Valenzuela of LCRO Naguilian got a total score of 31 after three rounds with the same type of questions and total points of 40. The top three spots for the LCRO staff category were completed by Maria Joanne Edad, LCRO staff of Aringay with a total score of 30 points (1^st Runner up), and Michaela Bayona, LCRO staff of Agoo with a total score of 25 points (2^nd Runner up). 

The top three winners in the Provincial CRM Quiz Bee C/MCRs and LCROs staff category will represent La Union in the Regional Civil Registration and Vital Statistics Quiz on 20 February 2024 at the PSA – Regional Statistical Services (RSSO I), City of San Fernando, La Union.
