ILOCOS REGION - The Philippine Statistics Authority – Regional Statistical Services Office I (PSA-RSSO I) conducted information dissemination on Civil Registration, National ID, and PSA Services at Nasudi Center, Barangay Sibuan-Otong, City of San Fernando, La Union on 27 March 2025.

This initiative is PSA-RSSO I’s social responsibility activity and as part of the celebration of National Women’s Month and Girl Child Week, which aimed to increase awareness of the importance of civil registration, ensuring every citizen, especially women and young girls, has access to their civil registry documents. The activity also emphasized the significance of the National ID (NID) System in providing secure and valid proof of identity for all Filipinos.

During the event, PSA-RSSO I Regional Director Atty. Sheila O. De Guzman delivered the opening remarks, while Nasudi Staff Manilyn Antonio welcomed all participants, expressing their gratitude for the said undertaking.

The Barangay Council of Sibuan-Otong and Nasudi Center residents were provided with essential information on birth, marriage, and death registration processes by Registration Officer IV Zenaida L. Garcillan. Registration Officer III Christopher F. Flores facilitated discussions on how to generate the Digital National ID and the NID Authentication Services.

In addition, PSA services, including statistical data access and survey initiatives, were presented to the attendees. The activity concluded with a series of engaging games that thoroughly entertained and delighted the participants.

PSA-RSSO I remains committed to advocating on inclusive and accessible registration and identification services, ensuring that every individual, particularly women and young girls, is recognized and empowered. The activity supports the goals of National Women’s Month and Girl Child Week in promoting gender equality, social inclusion, and empowerment.
