PSA Regional Statistical Services Office I capacitated its employees on basic broadcasting, photo journalism, and parliamentary procedures through a training conducted by the Philippine Information Agency (PIA) from 22 to 23 April 2024 at the PSA-RSSO I Conference Room, City of San Fernando, La Union.

Ms. Caren Grace Carbonell, Ms. Jolina-Anne C. Lavaro, and Mr. Rocky E. Bautista of the Philippine Information Agency served as resource speakers for the basic broadcasting and photo journalism. The trainers provided the basic concepts and practical tips on the conduct of broadcasting, press conference, taking photos and preparing captions. Workshops on the conduct of press conference and phito journalism was also conducted

Meanwhile, RO IV Zenaida L. Garcillan of PSA-RSSO I discussed about parliamentary procedures. She discussed about the overview of the Robert’s Rule of Order, how to manage a meeting, and the concept of completed staff work.

Regional Director Atty. Sheila O. De Guzman said in her closing remarks that the training is a good venue to capacitate the employees and encouraged them to practice what they learned. The training is among the initiatives of PSA-RSSO I in its aim to continuously enhance the skills of PSA-RSSO I employees in providing quality services to the people.
