Philippine Statistics Authority – Pangasinan Provincial Statistical Office disseminated the 2023 Full Year Poverty Official Statistics of Pangasinan last 05 November 2024 in Calasiao, Pangasinan. It was attended by representatives from the City/Municipal Social Welfare and Development Offices (C/MSWDOs) across the province.

 

The dissemination forum was formally opened with a Welcome Message given by Supervising Statistical Specialist Ferdinand Q. Jocutan, who shared a glimpse on the key objectives and background of the event. He highlighted the importance of sharing statistical findings and fostering a deeper understanding of data trends and its significance among stakeholders.

 

 

Senior Statistical Specialist Verna M. Palsimon presented the Highlights of 2023 Family Income and Expenditure Survey (FIES), encompassing the regional and provincial results on Income and Expenditure from 2018 to 2023. Meanwhile, Statistical Specialist II Ana Liza B. Orperia shared the full results of the Poverty Situation in Pangasinan in 2023.

 

 

Youth Development Officer I of Provincial Social Welfare Development Office (PSWDO), Miss Rhea Jude A. Ferrer cited various programs, projects, and services initiated and offered by the Provincial Government of Pangasinan to address and alleviate the poverty rate in Pangasinan. This includes, but is not limited to, free medical consultations and medications, scholarship grants, livelihood projects, and cash assistance among others. In addition, several participants also shared those programs initiated by their local government.

 

To wrap up the forum, Registration Officer I Maricar C. Gabriel delivered her Closing Message, expressing her gratitude to all participants for their active involvement and insightful contributions throughout the event. Miss Gabriel emphasized the importance of continued collaboration and commitment to applying the discussed principles and practices in real-world scenarios. Finally, the participants were encouraged to maintain the momentum and stay connected as a community, working collectively towards shared goals and future progress.
