The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) – La Union Provincial Statistical Office successfully wrapped up its three-day 2024 Mid-Year Performance Review (MYPR) scheduled on 24 July 2024 and 29 to 30 July 2024 at PSA-La Union Conference Room, The Fifth Bldg., Brgy. IV, City of San Fernando, La Union.
The 2024 MYPR aimed to assess PSA-La Union’s first-semester performance, identify areas for improvement, optimize resource allocation, and foster collaboration among the personnel to enhance the overall agency efficiency and ensure the achievement of the agency goals for the remaining part of the year.
Chief Statistical Specialist (CSS) Danites E. Teñido, PhD, in her message, underscored the significance of the activity primarily to assess the agency’s performance for the first semester of the year. Dr. Teñido also emphasized the importance of utilizing this opportunity to collectively outline targets for the second semester.
The highlight of the three-day activity included the following: review of targets against the actual accomplishments for the first semester 2024 work program; discussion of financial and physical accomplishments of major programs, activities, and projects (PAPs) and development of a catch-up plan for the second semester; identification of challenges, setbacks, and issues for every activity and suggested solutions, or solutions implemented; identification and presentation of best practices and innovations; review, updating, and revision of the Opportunity Registry Action Plan (ORAP) and Risk Registry Action Plan (RRAP); and group learning session.
With the completion of the 2024 MYPR, PSA-La Union is committed to implement strategies and action plans to effectively and efficiently deliver goals for the second half of the year.
