The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) – Ilocos Sur conducted the 3rd Level Training of the 2023 Census of Philippine Business and Industry (CPBI) and 2023 Input-Output Survey of Philippine Business and Industry (IOSPBI) at the Conference Hall, 3rd floor, UNP Town Center Tamag, Vigan City, Ilocos Sur on 16 to 20 April 2024.

Also, the PSA will simultaneously conduct the 2023 IOSPBI and will be a rider survey for 2023 CPBI. The sample establishments for IOSPBI will comprise approximately 25 percent of the 2023 CPBI total sample establishments. These surveys will serve as benchmark information for the over-all revision and rebasing to 2023 of the National Accounts.

The data collection is being conducted by eight Statistical Researchers (SRs). CPBI have 469 sample establishments and 82 sample establishments for IOSPBI covering all the cities and municipalities of the province. Enumeration commenced on 06 May 2024 and expected to be completed on 31 July 2024.
