Over 2,000 Hired Personnel for the Province of Pangasinan were trained to serve as Enumerators and Team Supervisors for the conduct of 2024 Census of Population and Community-Based Monitoring System (POPCEN-CBMS) data collection which has started on July 15.

 

 

To prepare the hired field personnel for this undertaking, a 6-day training on Household Data Collection and Geotagging was conducted in each of the 48 Local Government Units of the Province of Pangasinan which were scheduled in 2 batches. The 1st batch of training on 01-06 July 2024 included the Cities of Alaminos and Urdaneta, and the Municipalities of Aguilar, Basista, Bautista, Binalonan, Binmaley, Bolinao, Bugallon, Burgos, Calasiao, Mabini, Malasiqui, Mangaldan, Mangatarem, Natividad, Pozorrubio, Rosales, San Nicolas, Sual, Tayug and Urbiztondo. Meanwhile, the 2nd batch of training was conducted on 08-13 July 2024 in the Cities of San Carlos and Dagupan, and in the Municipalities of Agno, Alcala, Anda, Asingan, Balungao, Bani, Bayambang, Dasol, Infanta, Labrador, Laoac, Lingayen, Manaoag, Mapandan, San Fabian, San Jacinto, San Manuel, San Quintin, Santa Barbara, Santa Maria, Santo Tomas, Sison, Umingan, and Villasis.

 

 

Each training class was facilitated by a Head Census-CBMS Area Supervisor (HCAS) and/or Hired Census-CBMS Area Supervisor/s (CAS/s). Participants were hired Enumerators (ENs) and Team Supervisors (TSs) from each city and municipality. Enumeration procedures, concepts and definitions, and familiarization with the tablet applications were given emphasis during the training. The series of trainings concluded through a Pledge of Commitment and Oath of Data Privacy of the hired Census-CBMS personnel administered by LGU elected officials. The LGUs, particularly the Local Chief Executives, also pledged their full support and cooperation for the success of the 2024 POPCEN-CBMS. Data Collection period which kicked off on 15th of July is expected to end on the 15th of September this year.

 

 

Through the 2024 POPCEN-CBMS, the country will have an updated and comprehensive data on the population and social registries of national government agencies and disaggregated data down to the barangay level for LGUs’ evidence-based project development and program implementation.
