Based on the results of the 2021 the Annual Survey of Philippine Business and Industry (ASPBI), the Ilocos Region has 66 registered establishments under the section of Information and Communication. This was 50.7 percent lower than the 134 registered establishments in 2020.

There were 1,539 employees hired by the establishments engaged in the Information and Communication businesses. Of this total, 99.5 percent or 1,531 were paid employees.

The total compensation paid to employees in the Information and Communication section was PhP 481.60 thousand in 2021, an increase of 11.9 percent from PhP 430.37 thousand in 2020.

The average annual compensation per paid employee in the Information and Communication section was recorded at PhP 314.57 thousand in 2021, lower than the 324.07 thousand in 2020.

In 2021, the Ilocos Region’s Information and Communication section brought in a total of PhP 3.79 billion income with a revenue per expense ratio of 1.21. The total expense was reported as PhP 3.13 billion, higher than PhP 1.32 billion record in 2020.
