ILOCOS REGION. Pursuant to Presidential Proclamation No. 682, S. 1991, the Ilocos Region celebrates the Civil Registration Month (CRM) in February of every year. This 34th year of CRM celebration is themed, “CRVS: The Future of Seamless Services.”

The observance of Civil Registration Month shall remind the citizenry of their duty to register acts and events concerning status of persons, enhance nationwide awareness and appreciation of the legal, administrative and statistical values of civil registry documents and underscore the necessity for Congress to provide adequate funds for enforcement and administration of laws on civil registration.

Likewise, the Sub-National Inter-Agency Committee on Civil Registration and Vital Statistics (IACCRVS) - llocos Region passed Resolution No. 01, S. 2024 titled, “Enjoining All Regional Line Agencies, Local Government Units, and Private Sector to Support the 2024 Civil Registration Month Celebration in Region I.”

For this year’s celebration, the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Regional Statistical Services Office I (RSSO I) and its Provincial Statistical Offices (PSOs), together with the Local Government Units and Provincial Chapters of the Philippine Association of Civil Registrars (PACRs) in the region will conduct various activities such as hanging of streamers, conduct of symposiums/training/conferences on Civil Registration, quiz bee, and other activities related to civil registration and dissemination of vital statistics.
With the continued support of various stakeholders, PSA-RSSO I is certain that the advocacy campaign on the importance of CRVS towards provision of seamless services will be a success.
