The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA), Ilocos Region - Regional Statistical Services Office I, in celebration of Women’s Month every March, issues a Special Release on Women and Men in the region.

Based on the 2020 Census of Population and Housing (2020 CPH), the Province of La Union had a total population of 822,352 persons. Of this total, the household population comprised 99.8 percent or 820,343 persons.

Based on the results of the 2020 Census of Population and Housing, there were 296.800 households, or 22 7 percent of the 1,306,220 households in the llocos Region, possess at least one type of land other than the land they inhabit

Out of the 1,306,170 total number of households in the Region, it has been noted that more than half (725,144 households) had at least one type of internet access in 2020.

The Ilocos region registered 841,949 ever-married women (EMW) aged 15 to 49 and 1,748,533 children ever born (CEB). On average, these women have 2.1 children signifying there are at least two children in a household in the region.

Out of the 1,306,170 households in the Ilocos Region in 2020, 934,807 own or have owner-like possession of the house and lot they occupy. Another 29,172 households comprised homeowners who rent the lot their houses stand on.

Based on the 2020 Census of Population and Housing (2020 CPH), the Ilocos Region listed 1,366,643 housing units. Of the figure, 90.11 percent or 1,231,448 housing units were occupied as of 01 May 2020.

The llocos Region household population was dominated by Roman Catholics with 4,338,887 or 82.0 percent of the total 5,292,297 household population of the llocos Region in 2020.
