PSA RSSO 01 conducts the Joint Second and Third Level Training on 2023 CPBI and 2023 IOSPBI Data Processing

Regional Statistical Services Office 01 spearheaded the five-day training of 2023 Census of Philippine Business and Industry (CPBI) and 2023 Industry - Input-Output Survey (IOSPBI) Data Processing from 03 to 07 June 2024 in the City of San Fernando, La Union. The event aims to capacitate provincial focal persons and hired personnel in processing the data collected earlier this year. CPBI and IOSPBI Regional Focal Person Engr. Divino Amor P. Rivera, Statistical Specialist II Ray-Anne A. Soriano, and Statistical Analyst Christine Joy S. Rodriguez of Central Office - Service and Industry Census Division served as trainers.

The CPBI is a statistical activity conducted every five years by the PSA to collect and generate information on the levels, structure, performance, and trends of economic activities within the establishment in the country. It will serve as benchmark information for measuring and comparing national, regional, and provincial economic growth. Meanwhile, the IOSPBI is conducted simultaneously with CPBI primarily aimed at collecting data which will be used to build the input structure and to construct the distribution of output required in the compilation of the 2023 Supply and Use Table and Input-Output Table.

The manual data processing will commence on 24 June 2024 while machine processing kicks-off on 08 July 2024. The data processing will end in 15 September 2024.

The PSA appeals to its partners and stakeholders, in particular, establishment owners to provide full cooperation by providing truthful information as provision for a timely, accurate, and relevant statistics regarding the health of the different industries present in the Philippines.
