The Pangasinan Provincial Statistical Office recently held the 2022 Census of Agriculture and Fisheries (CAF) Culminating Activity alongside the 2025 Provincial Planning Workshop from 19-21 December 2024, in Binmaley, Pangasinan. This event not only showcased the findings of the 2022 CAF in the province but also provided an opportunity to reflect on the office's achievements and milestones while strategizing for upcoming projects and activities in 2025.

 

The event commenced with a Welcome Message from Supervising Statistical Specialist Ferdinand Q. Jocutan, who highlighted the significance of the occasion, setting a tone of enthusiasm and collaboration. Chief Statistical Specialist Edgar M. Norberte followed by expressing heartfelt gratitude to the PSA Pangasinan personnel, acknowledging their vital role as the cornerstone of the office's achievements and milestones.

 

 

The program began with Statistical Specialist II Xavier B. Narvas presenting the findings of the 2022 Census of Agriculture and Fisheries (CAF) based on the National Data Review and Ways Forward. He noted that the regional and provincial-level data from the 2022 CAF will be released in March 2025. Following this, Assistant Statistician Renalie B. Ferrer showcased the office's achievements for the second semester of 2024 through the Office Performance Commitment Review (OPCR) Form. Additionally, Senior Statistical Specialist Verna M. Palsimon discussed the various risks and opportunities faced by the office, along with corresponding action plans aimed at mitigating risks and capitalizing on opportunities.

 

 

On the second day, various Planning Workshop (PW) forms were discussed. Registration Officer I Maricar C. Gabriel presented PW Form 1, which highlights the major accomplishments of the different units within PSO Pangasinan. Administrative Officer I Angelica P. Sarzaba introduced PW Form 1B, detailing the office's milestones for the year, while Senior Statistical Specialist Verna M. Palsimon presented PW Form 4, outlining the Work Program for 2025. Additionally, Registration Officer I Ginalaine G. Molina shared the key features of the New Government Procurement Act. The day concluded with a fellowship program that promoted camaraderie and strengthened bonds among PSO Pangasinan personnel.

 

 

 

The third and final day focused on team-building activities designed to foster teamwork and sportsmanship. The three-day event concluded with a heartfelt Closing Message from Statistical Specialist II Dona D. Villanos. She expressed her gratitude to the dedicated personnel of PSO Pangasinan and encouraged everyone to value one another as a family and a dependable support system in times of need.
