The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) - La Union Provincial Statistical Office, through its Philippine Identification System (PhilSys) team, participates in the “Serbisyo Ipaay Rang-ay Itdenna Iti Bumarangayor SIRIB” cum Search for Most Outstanding Barangay of Local Government Unit (LGU) of Sudipen, from 30 July to 15 August 2024.

The SIRIB aims to extend basic services to the residents of every barangay of LGU Sudipen like free medicine, tax assistance, and other essential services.

PSA-La Union partnered with LGU Sudipen during the SIRIB to conduct National ID registration and information campaign in the component barangays of the municipality.

During the activity, the PhilSys team facilitated the National ID registration of the residents of LGU Sudipen of ages one to four and of ages five and older. The team also issued printed electronic PhilID (ePhilID) to successful Step 2 registrants.

Moreover, the PhilSys team of PSA-La Union conducted an information campaign on PhilSys which included PhilSys Updating Service or the updating of errors in the demographic information in the National lD or ePhilID of a PhilSys-registered individual available at the Fix Registration Center of PSA-La Union situated at Doña Pepita Bldg., Quezon Ave., Brgy. II, City of San Fernando, La Union. The team also provided information about the Digital National ID – the digital version of the National ID accessible through the website national-id.gov.ph on computers or smartphones with an internet connection. They also assisted PhilSys-registered individuals in obtaining their Digital National ID to allow them to immediately utilize the advantages of being PhilSys registered.

Queries and clarifications were also accommodated to ensure that correct information on PhilSys reaches the users.
