Hats off to the La Union winners in the 2024 Regional Civil Registration and Vital Statistics (CRVS) Quiz for Local Civil Registrars (LCRs) and Local Civil Registry Office (LCRO) Staff category!

On 20 February 2024, La Union quizzers emerged as victors in the 2024 Regional CRVS Quiz facilitated by the Philippine Statistics Authority– Regional Statistical Services Office I (PSA - RSSO I) at Parammata Building, Diversion Road, Sitio 5, Barangay Biday, City of San Fernando, La Union.

Ms. Maria Joanne Edad from LCRO of Aringay, La Union, outsmarted contestants from other LCROs from the four participating provinces of the Ilocos Region as the Champion in the 2024 Regional CRVS Quiz LCRO Staff category. Ms. Liza R. Valenzuela from the LCRO of Naguilian, La Union, also made it to the top three as she landed 2nd Runner-up. The 1st Runner-up was clinched by the City Civil Registry Office (CCRO) staff of Batac City, Ilocos Norte.

Meanwhile, two of La Union’s Municipal Civil Registrar (MCR) quizzers also made it to the top three. MCR Laida G. Rico of Aringay bagged the 1st Runner-up while MCR Atty. Jake M. Danduan secured the 2nd Runner-up post. The MCR of Pinili, Ilocos Norte was declared as Champion.

Each winner received a certificate of recognition and a token from PSA - RSSO I.

The 2024 Regional CRVS Quiz is one of the regional activities of PSA-RSSO I in observance of the 34^th CRM.
