
The Philippine Statistics Authority - Regional Statistical Services Office 01 (PSA-RSSO 01) conducted the Appreciation Forum on Household and Establishment-based Surveys for Stakeholders and Media Partners on 22 November 2024 in Calasiao, Pangasinan.
PSA conducts household and establishments surveys, among others, and recognizes the importance of engaging the stakeholders and even the media partners in understanding the key economic concepts of these surveys and its implications in targeting programs and projects for specific sector of the economy. The conduct of appreciation forum to stakeholders on the generated statistics from these undertakings are vital as it provides a clear and accessible overview of household and establishment-based statistics and its components.
On behalf of Regional Director Atty. Sheila O. De Guzman, the event was opened by a very inspiring message from the Officer-in-Charge of the Statistical Operations and Coordination Division of RSSO 01, Ms. Teresa B. Olarte. It was followed by three presentations, namely;
- Updates on Birth Registration Assistance Project (BRAP) and Philippine Identification System by Chief Administrative Officer Camille Carla U. Beltran;
- 2023 Updating of List of Establishments (ULE) Results by Engr. Divino Amor P. Rivera, PhD; and
- Concepts of Aquaculture Survey and 3rd Quarter 2024 Survey Results of llocos Region by Statistical Specialist II Ranilyn K. Tambic.
The participants were given an opportunity to express their thoughts and raise their queries through an open forum after all the presentations. All have been comprehensively answered by the resource speakers.
The activity aimed to promote and instill awareness and appreciation about household and establishment-based statistics through presentation of concepts and related statistics, and elicit cooperation and support of the general publics on the different undertaking of the PSA. It is also a venue to show appreciation to the support extended by the stakeholders and media partners in the conduct of censuses and surveys of the PSA, and further strengthen partnership with them in delivering timely and quality products and services.
