March 2023 – Calasiao, Pangasinan – In line with the ongoing nationwide implementation of the Philippine Identification System (PhilSys), the Philippine Statistics Authority - Pangasinan Statistical Office continuously supports the Philippine Identification Card (PhilID) registration process across the province. As of 31 March 2023, the Philippine Identification System (PhilSys) Pangasinan has successfully registered a total number of 2,393,046 or 75.65% of the population of 3,163,190 based on the 2020 Census of Population and Housing.

The City of San Carlos has the highest registrants with a total number of 151,736. This is followed by Dagupan City with 137,719, the City of Urdaneta with 116,254, and the municipalities of Malasiqui with 103,671 and Bayambang with 95,472. On the other hand, the municipality of Santo Tomas has the lowest with a total number of 12,286 registered persons. An additional number of 21,871 individuals were registered at the Provincial Fixed Registration Center in Calasiao, Pangasinan.
The PhilSys Registration personnel of Pangasinan are conducting mobile registration activities in various cities and municipalities, as well as government and private institutions. For the year 2021-2022, PhilSys Pangasinan encouraged a total of 2,339,356 individuals to register for the PhilID. For the 1st quarter of 2023, PhilSys Pangasinan continued the following activities: mobile registration in barangays, prioritization of tricycle drivers and registration of students. PhilSys Step 2 Registration is well-received with 53,690 PhilID registrants.
In regard to this growing achievement, Pangasinan Statistical Office is actively participating in various junctures across the province to disseminate information and exposure that will provide the public with familiarity and acceptance of the PhilID. PSA Pangasinan conducted several symposia on PhilSys institutional registration during the Civil Registration Month last February 2023, in which DepED Pangasinan School Divisions participated; government agencies and private sectors in the province joined the PhilSys Regional Roadshow last March 2023; and Step 2 Registrations were provided on “Community-Based Konsulta Plus'' Program of the Pangasinan Hospital System, held at various barangays in the province. Among these activities, PSA Pangasinan continues to accommodate participation in activities such as job fairs and barangay assembly, to reach more people into registering for the PhilID.
