January 2024 - llocos Region. The Provincial Product Accounts (PPA) provides a picture of the economic performance of the provinces and highly urbanized cities. In addition, it is a source of indicators to monitor the economic development or progress at the subnational level. The compilation of PPA is an initiative of the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) to address the increasing demand for more granular level statistics.

The llocos Region is one of the seven pilot regions in 2023. These seven regions compiled the Gross Domestic Product of their provinces and Highly Urbanized Cities for the period 2018 to 2022.

After the successful estimation and data dissemination of the 2018 to 2022 PPA in llocos Region in 2023, the Philippine Statistics Authority -Regional Statistical Services Office (RSSO) I, together with its four Provincial Statistical Offices, continues the compilation of the PPA. This 2024, the PSA will estimate the 2023 PPA of the provinces in llocos Region.

The PSA enjoins its partners and data providers to provide full cooperation thru the provision of data requirements for a more timely, accurate, and relevant economic accounts at the local level.
