04 June 2021 – Ilocos Region. The Philippine Statistics Authority – Regional Statistical Services Office I (PSA-RSSO I)  brought together  experts and researchers from Regional Line Agencies (RLAs), Local Government Units (LGUs), the academe,  and its stakeholders during the virtual data dissemination forum  on various outputs of the 2020 agriculture statistics and the results  of the 2019 Survey of Overseas Filipinos (2019 SOF).

In her message, Officer-in-Charge Atty. Sheila O. De Guzman expressed her gratitude to the respondents and stakeholders who continue  to support the undertakings of the PSA. Chief Statistical Specialist (CSS) Juanito Y. Yabes started the forum  with the discussion of regional and provincial data derived  from agriculture-based statistics such as Palay and Corn Production Survey, Crops Production Survey, Livestock and Poultry Survey,  and Fisheries Production Survey, among others.

On the other hand, Statistical Specialist II Engr. Divino Amor P. Rivera, Ph.D. presented the results of the 2019 SOF. The 2019 SOF is a nationwide survey that is designed to gather information on Filipino citizens abroad, including overseas workers. 

An open forum followed after the presentations. As mentioned  by CSS Yabes, this forum served as a platform to discuss the specific statistical needs of our regional and provincial partners.

The virtual forum was conducted to strengthen the partnership  and collaboration with RSSO I’s partner agencies and stakeholders.
