ILOCOS REGION. The enumeration for the 2022 Census of Agriculture and Fisheries (2022 CAF) will begin on 04 September 2023 in all four provinces of Ilocos Region.

The 2022 CAF is a large-scale government undertaking that is geared towards the collection and compilation of basic information on the agricultural and fishery sectors in the country.

A total of 1,739 hired enumerators, team supervisors, assistant census area supervisors, and census area supervisors will be deployed by the Philippine Statistics Authority - Regional Statistical Services Office I (PSA - RSSO l) for this undertaking.

Enumerators will be going door-to-door to carry out the interviews using the Computer Assisted Personal Interviews (CAPI) method. This will be the first census in the country to utilize tablets nationwide for recording the responses of our interviewees.

The data to be collected in this census will serve as important bases of policies, plans, and programs for the country’s socio-economic development.

Thus, PSA appeals to the public to cooperate and support the conduct of this census. The office also reassures the public that all information gathered will be held strictly confidential and shall not be used as evidence in court for purposes of taxation, regulation or investigation as provided for in RA No. 10173 or the "Data Privacy Act" and RA 10625. Data generated from this census will be disseminated in statistical summaries without reference to any individual person or household.
