March 2023 – Calasiao, Pangasinan. The Philippine Statistics Authority – Pangasinan Provincial Statistical Office took the lead in participating in the Philippine Identification System (PhilSys) Information, Education, and Communication Campaign: 2023 Regional Roadshow spearheaded by the PhilSys Registry Office – Use Case Development and Management Service (UCDMS) for Ilocos Region. The event was conducted on 27 March 2023 at The Monarch Hotel which was attended by government offices, the academe, media channels, financial and private sectors in the province.

The UCDMS, together with the Fraud Management Service (FMD), the Feedback and Grievance Division (FGD), and the Policy and Planning Coordination Division (PPCD), conducted the regional roadshow in Ilocos Region in cooperation with the Provincial Statistical Offices (PSOs) in La Union, Ilocos Norte, and in the recently conducted activity in the province of Pangasinan.

The regional roadshow aims to educate the attendees on the use and efficiency of the PhilSys in identity verification by introducing the PhilSys Check and its onboarding process. PhilSys Check is an offline identity authentication tool to verify the authenticity of the PSA-issued PhilID through its QR Code feature. The one-day event also presented discussions on the salient features of RA11055, otherwise known as the The PhilSys Act which was focused during the morning session along with information dissemination regarding fraud awareness, and policies on PhilSys registration and PhilID replacement. The afternoon session is for the government sector participants with orientation on MC No. 95, s. 2022 and the PhilSys Integration Implementation Plan (PIIP). An open forum was administered to fully address questions and concerns of the participants. In promotion of the PhilID and ePhilID, PhilSys Pangasinan provided Step 2 Registration and ePhilID printing in the venue for the roadshow participants.

The campaign was attended by representatives from National Government Agencies, Regional Line Agencies, Local Government Units and Civil Registry Offices, School Divisions Offices, colleges and universities, media channels, financial and private organizations with a total number of 189 participants.
