The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) – Ilocos Sur joined the second-level training for the January 2025 Consumer Expectations Survey (CES) from 04 to 05 March 2025. The training aims to prepare the field personnel across the Ilocos Region for the conduct of enumeration from 07 to 19 March 2025.
A total of 48 sample households from six barangays in Ilocos Sur will be interviewed by the two hired statistical researchers using the Computer-Assisted Personal Interviewing (CAPI).
The CES is a household-based survey on the consumers’ assessment of their family income, financial situation, and the economic condition of the country. In addition, the results will guide planners in forecasting the direction of change of the economy as well as the behavior of key indicators such as inflation rate, interest rates and exchange rates. The CES is a joint undertaking between the PSA and the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) conducted on a quarterly basis.
All sample households are enjoined to support and cooperate in the January 2025 CES by providing truthful answers to the statistical researchers. The PSA complies with the Data Privacy Act of 2012 and assures that all collected personal information and data gathered from the said survey are processed in accordance with the law and other issuances.
