ILOCOS SUR – The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Ilocos Sur successfully conducted National ID Mobile Registration throughout various barangays in the province during the month of February. This initiative was in line with the colocation efforts with the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) to extend National ID services to the beneficiaries of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps).
Despite the demanding schedule of the colocation activities, the National ID Team of PSA Ilocos Sur remained steadfast in their commitment to ensuring that every Filipino is registered. Their dedication allowed them to cater not only to 4Ps beneficiaries but also to other residents, including individuals with special needs. The mobile registration drive aimed to reach remote and underserved communities, bringing essential identification services closer to those who might otherwise face difficulties in accessing them.
A testament to the inclusive nature of the program was the successful registration of a resident from Barangay Oaig Daya, Galimuyod on 08 February 2025, who was accommodated despite her special condition. This effort emphasized the accessibility and inclusivity of the National ID system and affirmed PSA’s mission to “Get Everyone in the Picture.” The program ensures that all Filipinos, regardless of their socio-economic status or physical condition, are given the opportunity to acquire a National ID, which is essential for accessing various government services and financial opportunities.

In addition to the 4Ps beneficiaries, the National ID Team also registered elderly individuals, persons with disabilities, and other marginalized sectors who require assistance in completing the registration process. The PSA Ilocos Sur team provided dedicated support to these individuals, ensuring that no one was left behind in the national identification initiative. A total of 4,802 individuals were successfully registered to National ID for the month of February 2025 in the province.
The National ID registration is a vital step in streamlining transactions with both government and private institutions, as the ID serves as a primary form of identification. With its continuous efforts, PSA Ilocos Sur aims to strengthen the implementation of the National ID System and promote seamless access to social welfare programs, banking services, and other essential transactions that require official identification.
