February 2024 - llocos Region. The Philippine Statistics Authority Regional Statistical Services Office I (PSA-RSSO I) conducted the appreciation training on the System of Environmental Economic Accounting (SEEA) Central Framework on 06 to 08 February 2024 at the J&V Resort and Hotel, City of San Fernando, La Union.

The training aimed to equip the stakeholders of the concepts of SEEA and to increase appreciation on environmental accounts. This is attended by representatives from various Regional Line Agencies, water districts and PSA employees from RSSO I and its PSOs.

The Environment and Natural Resources Accounts Division of PSA headed by Ms. Virginia M. Bathan discussed about Environmental Accounting, the SEEA 2022 Central Framework, and its Subsystem, and the various environmental accounts. Meanwhile, Chief Statistical Specialist Aldrin Federico Bahit Jr. of PSA-CAR and Senior Statistical Specialist Jun Dave Patricio of PSA-RSSO III shared their experiences and best practices in compiling environmental accounts.

PSA - RSSO I continuously commit to deliver accurate, timely, and reliable statistics as it prepares to compile another economic account. The PSA enjoins its partners and data providers to provide full cooperation thru the provision of data requirements.
