Regional Statistical Services Office 01 conducted the two-day training for the Second Level Training on the Implementation of Computer-Assisted Personal Interviewing (CAPI) and Data Processing System (DPS) for the Quarterly Aquaculture Survey (QAqS) on 02 to 03 September 2024 in the City of San Fernando, La Union. Chief Statistical Specialist (CSS) Reinelda P. Adriano and Statistical Analyst (SA) Ritzell C. Dolorito from the PSA-Central Office and Statistical Specialist II (SSII) Ranilyn K. Tambic served as trainers during the training. Focal persons and assistant focal persons in the four provinces of the region were the participants of the training.

The QAqS gathers information on volume and price of species harvested in the aquafarms. The training provides the participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to effectively utilize CAPI tools and data processing systems for field data collection and analysis.

The PSA enjoins all the sample aquafarm operators to participate in the survey by providing truthful information. Authorized PSA interviewers will conduct personal interview using CAPI method. All information collected shall be kept strictly confidential as provided under Republic Act 10625.
