ILOCOS REGION - The Philippine Statistics Authority Regional Statistical Services Office I (PSA – RSSO I) conducted the Second Level Training on the 2025 Livestock and Poultry Survey from 05 to 07 March 2025 in the City of San Fernando, La Union.

The training highlighted the cascading of the updated survey field operations for livestock and poultry surveys (household and establishment). The modifications in the survey titles starting the first quarter of 2025 operations and enhancement of the survey instruments to be relevant in the current statistical needs of the livestock and poultry industry were emphasized. In addition, the activity aimed to test the changes and new features on the systems for the finalization of Computer-Assisted Personal Interview (CAPI) applications and Data Processing System (DPS) for the livestock and poultry surveys.

The Livestock and Poultry Survey: Household (LPS:H) and the Livestock and Poultry Survey: Establishment (LPS:E) aims to generate estimates on supply, disposition, average farmgate price, and other related data of livestock and poultry commodities at the household level. The data generated from these surveys are inputs to the Value of Production of Agriculture and accordingly to the computation of Gross Domestic Product (GDP).

The PSA enjoins all sample household and establishments to support and participate in the conduct of the surveys by providing truthful information. All the data collected shall be treated with strict confidentiality and considered PRIVILEGED COMMUNICATION.
