LGU Nueva Era, Ilocos Norte Receives the 2023 Community-Based Monitoring System Data Results

The Community-Based Monitoring System (CBMS) generates updated and disaggregated data necessary in targeting beneficiaries, conducting more comprehensive poverty analysis and needs prioritization, designing appropriate policies and interventions, and monitoring impact over time. With this purpose, the Local Government Unit of Nueva Era with 11 barangays, fully-funded the conduct of the 2023 CBMS in the municipality.

One of the major activities and highlights of the 2023 CBMS is the conduct of Data Turnover Ceremony (DTC). It aims to officially turn over the CBMS data to the participating LGUs. The event serves as a venue to present the highlights of the 2023 CBMS results and an opportunity for LGUs to discuss their future plans and programs using the CBMS data.

The DTC in the municipality of Nueva Era, llocos Norte on 29 April 2024 marked the first 2023 CBMS data turnover in llocos Region, The ceremony was spearheaded by the Regional Director of PSA - RSSO I, Atty. Sheila O. De Guzman, Chief Statistical Specialist (CSS) Marilyn P. Vergara of the Provincial Statistical Office (PSO) of llocos Norte, Senior Statistical Specialist (SrSS) Editha O. Jaramilla of PSO llocos Norte, Municipal Mayor Atty. Aldrin R. Garvida, Vice Mayor Caroline Garvida, Data Protection Officer Daryll B. Foronda, Municipal Statistician Maricar L. Bringas, and Municipal Public Administrator Segundino Urbano.
