May 12, 2023 - The Philippine Statistics Authority, Pangasinan Provincial Statistical Office - Philippine Identification System (PhilSys) handed over the ePhilID of Petrona Dingle Valdez-Nacis on her 100th birthday, confirming her as the first ever centenarian recipient in the province of Pangasinan.
Born on May 12, 1923, Inang Petrona, as she is also known and fondly addressed by her family and friends, is a resident of Brgy. Alipangpang in Pozorrubio, Pangasinan. Registration Center Supervisor Ricardo C. Gorospe, representing Philippine Statistics Authority - Provincial Statistical Office, in partnership with the Local Government Unit of Pozorrubio headed by Mayor Kelvin T. Chan with Municipality Civil Registrar Lorna P. Carbonel, handed over the ePhilID as one of the highlights of Inang Petrona’s centennial day.
Inang Petrona registered through on-site Step 2 registration in Pozorrubio on April 17, 2023. In accordance with the ongoing nationwide implementation of the Philippine Statistics Authority - Philippine Identification System, the Step 2 Registration and ePhilID personnel are conducting mobile registration and distribution activities in various cities and municipalities across the province of Pangasinan, in order to encourage more individuals to register for the PhiIID, and avail the PhilSys-enabled services.
