PSA – La Union commends its PhilSys teams for exerting all efforts in bringing the PhilSys registration closer to the public to cover the remaining unregistered population 5 years old and over in coordination with the LGUs, government agencies and the private sector.  The PhilSys teams have also closely coordinated with various schools to increase the number of registrants that accommodated teachers, school personnel and students.  It has also colocated with the sim registration in selected areas in the province.

PSA – La Union is grateful to all the LGUs, government agencies, and the private sector for all the assistance extended to the PhilSys teams making it possible for the setting up of mobile and institutional registration in barangays, schools, office premises, and market areas.

To obtain a Philippine Identification (PhilID) card and PhilSys Number (PSN), individuals must undergo the PhilSys Step 2 Registration process which is the validation of supporting documents and collection of biometric information such as fingerprints, iris scan, and front-facing photograph.   Once registered, individuals will be issued a unique PSN that will serve as their permanent and universal identification number.
