The Philippine Statistics Authority - Pangasinan Provincial Statistical Office is currently conducting the April 2023 Labor Force Survey (LFS) authorized under Republic Act (RA) 10625 known as the Philippine Statistical Act of 2013. 

The LFS is a nationwide survey of households conducted to gather data on the demographic and socio-economic characteristics of the population.   It aims to provide a quantitative framework for the preparation of plans and formulation of policies affecting the labor market and is designed to provide statistics on levels and trends of employment, unemployment, and underemployment for the country and regions.

The province has a total of 401 sample households to be enumerated by the seven hired Statistical Researchers who underwent four-day training to gain knowledge of the concepts, definitions and instructions regarding the conduct of the survey. Enumeration is from April 10 to 29, 2023.

The PSA is committed to deliver relevant and reliable statistics.  Hence, the public is enjoined to support the April 2023 LFS and other surveys conducted by the PSA by providing truthful and complete information to all statistical inquiries to our authorized Statistical Researchers.  Rest assure that all information gathered from the sample households are kept in strict confidentiality and are not used for taxation, investigation, or law enforcement purposes as stipulated in Section 26 of RA 10625 (Confidentiality of Information) and Section 8 of RA 10173 or the Data Privacy Act.
