Calasiao, Pangasinan - The Provincial Statistical Office of Pangasinan headed by Chief Statistical Specialist Edgar M. Norberte conducted a Thanksgiving Mass on February 6, 2023  in celebration of the 33rd Civil Registration Month.

The Thanksgiving Mass, officiated by Rev. Fr. Eric Galivo from Most Holy Trinity Pasrish, San Carlos City, Pangasinan, was followed by a short program. Tropics regarding Overview on the Implementation of Civil Registry System - Information Technology Project Phase II (CRS-ITP2), presented by Registration Officer II and CRS Outlet Supervisor, Urduja M. Santillan.

Presidential Proclamation No. 682 declares the month of February of every year as Civil Registration Month (CRM) signed by former President Corazon C. Aquino on 28 January 1991. The annual celebration aims to remind the citizenry of their right and duty to register acts and events concerning status of persons, enhance nationwide awareness and appreciation of the legal, administrative, and statistical values of civil registry documents and enjoin policy makers and the Local Government Units (LGUs) in providing adequate funds for CRVS and enforcement and administration laws.
