Household population comprises 99.88 percent of the total population

As of 01 May 2020, Rosario, La Union had a total population of 60,278 persons. Of this total, the household population comprised 99.88 percent or 60,203 persons. This is 4.86 thousand higher than the 55,343 household population in 2015, and 7.62 thousand more than the 52,579 household population posted in 2010. (Table A)

The remaining 0.12 percent of the total population is comprised of the institutional population or those residing in collective or institutional living quarters such as hospitals, orphanages, and military camps; and of Filipinos in Philippine embassies, consulates, and missions abroad.
Number of households increased by 1.26 thousand from 13.17 thousand in 2015 to 14.43 thousand in 2020

The total number of households in Rosario, La Union reached 14,433 in 2020. This is higher by 1.26 thousand compared with the 13,171 households in 2015 and by 2.54 thousand compared with 11,898 households in 2010. (Table B)
One in every five households in the municipality are in Barangays Concepcion, Camp One, Tabtabungao, and Subusub

Among the 33 barangays, Concepcion had the most number of households in 2020 with 985, followed by Camp One with 813, Tabtabungao with 774, and Subusub with 684. These four barangays comprised 22.56 percent of the total households in the municipality. The barangay of Ambangonan posted the least number of households with 154 households.
Average household size remains at 4.2 persons in 2020

The average household size (AHS) of the municipality remains at 4.2 persons in 2020. In 2010, there were 4.4 persons, on average, per household. (Table C and Figure 1)

Twelve out of 33 barangays posted an AHS higher than the municipality’s AHS of 4.2 persons.
