04 May 2022 – Ilocos Region. The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) continues to scale up its Step 3 operations by successfully delivering more than 723 thousand Philippine Identification (PhilID) cards to registrants in Ilocos Region. As of 15 April 2022, a total of 723,524 cards have already been delivered, in partnership with the Philippine Postal Corporation (PHLPost).
The Philippine Identification System (PhilSys) Step 3 Registration involves the generation of a unique PhilSys Number (PSN) and issuance of the PhilID. The PSA partnered with the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas for card production while the PHLPost administers the door-to-door delivery. On the other hand, the four Provincial Statistical Offices (PSOs) in the region continue to organize mobile registration in barangays, making the PhilSys program accessible to communities in the region.
The PSOs also conduct institutional registrations in coordination with government agencies, non-government organizations, and private companies. The institutional registration strategy ensures that staff and employees will have a safe and convenient PhilSys registration.
For the latest on PhilSys, visit the official PhilSys website (www.psa.gov.ph/philsys) or Facebook page (www.facebook.com/PSAPhilSysOfficial/). You may also reach the PhilSys Registry Office via hotline number 1388 or e-mail at info@philsys.gov.ph. For the online Step 1 Registration, kindly go to register.philsys.gov.ph.
