PSA-RSSO l spearheads 32nd Civil Registration Month celebration

24 January 2022- ILOCOS REGION. The Philippine Statistics Authority - Regional Statistical Services Office I (PSA- RSSO l) will lead the regional celebration of the 32nd Civil Registration Month (CRM) Celebration with the theme "Improving Civil Registration and Vital Statistics Implementation Strategies through Digital Transformation".
 
This annual celebration is conducted pursuant to Presidential Proclamation No.682 signed on 28 January 1991 by former President Corazon C. Aquino, declaring February as the Civil Registration Month.
 
Its celebration aims to strengthen and intensify the commitment and advocacy of the PSA to deliver effective and efficient civil registration services and timely vital statistics to its clients and stakeholders.
 
To promote the 32nd CRM celebration, the RSSO I will conduct various activities such as the display of streamers, motorcades, and civil registration quiz bees. The Civil Registry Services (CRS) outlet based in the City of San Fernando, La Union will give free copy issuance of birth or marriage certificate/s to the first client (Senior Citizen/PWD) to arrive in the outlet.
 
ln addition, personnel from the RSSO I will discuss various trivia and information concerning vital statistics and civil registration laws through the conduct of a "CRM Public Forum" with clients inside the CRS outlet.
 
The RSSO I will also facilitate an interactive game for its clients which will make waiting for civil registry documents more fun and educational. Clients in the queue will be given a chance to answer questions concerning civil registration and participants who will give the correct answer will be given a simple token from PSA.
