February of each year is declared as Civil Registration Month pursuant to Proclamation 682 issued on January 28, 1991 by then President Corazon C. Aquino.
The theme for this year’s celebration is “Pilipinong Rehistrado, Matatag na Kinabukasan ay Sigurado” giving emphasis on continuously improving Civil Registration and Vital Statistics (CRVS) through awareness on the importance of civil registry documents.
As part of the advocacy of “getting everyone in the picture” and campaign to create greater awareness of the importance of CRVS, RSSO I will conduct the following activities: Display of streamers, CRVS Information Dissemination and Updates on Civil Registration to various stakeholders, CRVS and Public Forum (Q&A), Training on the Registration of the Authority to Solemnize Marriage for selected PSA Personnel, Civil Registration Quiz for PSA Personnel and Participation to activities of Provincial Statistical Offices (PSOs) in collaboration with all the Local Civil Registry Offices (LCROs) such as Mobile Registration, Information Dissemination and Updates on Civil Registration and Mass Wedding Ceremonies.
To make this endeavor a fruitful one, we are urging the public, various stakeholders and interested parties to actively participate in the various activities organized for this year’s Civil Registration Month celebration.
