The Philippine Statistics Authority - Regional Statistical Services Office 1 (PSA-RSS01) and its Provincial Statistical Offices (PSOs) continued striving for a higher registration output in the Philippine Identification System (PhilSys).
As of November 30, 2023, the PSA-RSSO I and its PSOs have collaborated to register a total of 4,166,381 individuals under the PhilSys. This positive result was strengthened by the implementation of PhilSys on Wheels (POW) registration, which makes it possible for physically incapable individuals to register for the system without having to travel to a registration center. Moreover, in November, an additional 29,368 Filipinos were registered in the Ilocos Region.
The majority of the total PhilSys registrants in the region as of 30 November 2023 were from the province of Pangasinan which accounted 59 percent, followed by La Union which shared 16 percent, while Ilocos Sur and Ilocos Norte accounted for 14 and 11 percent, respectively.
PSA-RSSO 1, through its PSOs, remains committed to attaining its goal of ensuring that PhilSys is available and accessible to all Filipinos, regardless of their location. This serves as a testament to the organization's dedication to providing inclusive and efficient government services.
Filipinos who want to register with PhilSys can visit any registration center (https://www.philsvs.gov.ph/reqistration-center/) and no longer need to pre-register online. Walk-in applicants must bring any primary or secondary supporting documents during the registration.
PhilSys-registered individuals are advised to keep their transaction slips as a reference in verifying their PhillDs at https://trn-verifier.philsvs.qov.ph/.
