Ilocos Region. The Philippine Statistics Authority Regional Statistical Services Office I (PSA-RSSO I) and the Provincial Statistical Offices (PSOs) of Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union, and Pangasinan conducted its 2024 Regional Planning Workshop (RPW) and General Assembly on 28 November to 02 December, 2023 at the Subic Grand Harbour Hotel, Subic, Zambales. It aimed to discuss programs, projects, and activities (PPAs), and finalize the Monthly Disbursement Program (MDP) for 2024. Further, this activity served as venue in assessing the overall capacity of the office to realize the highlighted programs, activities and projects (PAPs) of the agency.

Among the items discussed during the planning workshop were the 2024 Work Program, 2024 Budget, 2024 Gender and Development Plan and Budget, assessment of the Risk Registry and Action Plan (RRAP) and Opportunity Registry and Action Plan (ORAP). Meanwhile, Assistant National Statistician Adrian A. Cerezo of the Social Sector Statistics Service provided his insights and recommendations on how to better implement the programs of the office.

On the other hand, Undersecretary Claire Dennis S. Mapa also graced the event. In his message, he urged PSA-RSSO I to be fiduciaries, putting the clients' interests ahead of their own. He also laid down the major programs of the agencies for 2024 which included the Functional Literacy, Education, and Mass Media Survey (FLEMMS), Community Based Monitoring System (CBMS), Philippine Identification System, and Civil Registration Service. He also urged the PSA-RSSO I to keep forward and maintain the high trust and confidence of the public to the organization.

Furthermore, PSA-RSSO I also recognized the PRAISE awardees for their exemplary performance under the following: Commitment to Public Interest, Professionalism, Justness and Sincerity, and Completed Staff Work, and Innovation. Likewise, Perfect Attendance and Loyalty awardees were also recognized.
