28 SEPTEMBER 2023 - BACOLOD CITY. The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) recognized the Outstanding Local Civil  Registry Offices (LCROs) for the year 2022 during the culminating program of the 3rd National Convention on Civil Registration and Vital Statistics (3NCCRVS) on 28 September 2023 at the SMX Convention Center, Bacolod City.

The awards aimed to recognize the efforts of the LCROs in delivering civil registration programs, activities, and services. There were six LCROs in the region that successfully bagged top ranks in the 2022 Search for Outstanding LCROs.

The LCRO of San Gabriel, La Union headed by MCR Jemma M. Cortes ranked third out of the 437 LCROs under the Extra Small category (received less than 500 documents). Likewise, LCRO Burgos, Pangasinan headed by MCR Joemedes B. Bustamante landed eighth place under the same category.

On the other hand, for the Large Category which comprised of 146 LCROs that received 2,000 to 2,999 documents, LCRO Agoo, La Union headed by MCR Maria Corazon A. Padilla, and LCRO Mangatarem Pangasinan headed by MCR Rogelia Q. Fernandez emerged as the fifth and seventh place, respectively.

Meanwhile, LCRO Alaminos City, Pangasinan headed by CCR Lovely Milles-De Castro ranked eighth in the Extra Large category out of the 214 LCROs that received 3,000 to 9,999 documents in 2022.

For the Super Extra Large Category which comprised LCROs that received more than 10,000 documents in 2022, the LCRO San Carlos City, Pangasinan headed by CCR Lourdes M. Llamas overwhelmingly bagged third place out of the 51 LCROs under this category.

Moreover, LCRO Alaminos received plaque of appreciation for its implementation of innovation titled, “Bringing Innovative Services to Where the People Are.”

The plaques and certificates of recognition were awarded by PSA National Statistician and    Civil    Registrar    General,    Undersecretary Claire Dennis S. Mapa. The recognitions were received by the respective LCRs with the PSA-RSSO I Regional Director, Atty. Sheila O. De Guzman, and Chief Administrative Officer Camille Carla U. Beltran.
