The Ilocos Norte Provincial Statistical Office officially kicked off the January 2025 Labor Force Survey (LFS) in Ilocos Norte with the third level training commenced on 02 January 2025 at PSO Ilocos Norte training room.

The training officially began with a session led by Ms. Marilyn P. Vergara, Chief Statistical Specialist, together with Ms. Francisca D. Luis, Statistical Specialist II, and Mr. Vincent M. Luis, Statistical Specialist II, who are conducting the technical training sessions. The training is designed to prepare Six (6) Statistical Researchers in Ilocos Norte, who will be directly involved in the field data collection for the LFS. These researchers will undergo a series of practical and theoretical sessions to ensure that they are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to conduct the survey accurately and efficiently.

The January 2025 Labor Force Survey will generate data necessary in formulating labor market policies and to support evidence-based decision-making. The LFS involves the collection of data on labor and employment. It also gathers the demographic and socio-economic characteristics of the labor force.

The PSO urges residents of Ilocos Norte to cooperate with enumerators during the survey period. Enumeration will start 08 January 2025 to 31 January 2025.
