The Inflation Rate in the Province of Ilocos Norteincreased from 7.4 percent in August 2022 to9.0percent in September 2022. The recorded inflation rate in the Province of Ilocos Norte is higher (9.0 %) than the recorded National Inflation Rate (6.9%). Thecomputed average inflation for the ninemonths for the current year wasat 6.7 percent (Table A and Figure 1). The recorded Inflation Rate of the province is higher than the recorded Inflation Rate of this year which is 9.0%as compared to last year’s rate of 3.4 %.

Among the provinces in the region, Ilocos Norte hadthe highest Inflation Rate at 9.0 percent followed by Ilocos Sur at 8.4percent, Pangasinan 6.4 percent, and the province of La Union having the lowest  rate of 3.8 percent.
