The Philippine Statistics Authority – Regional Statistical Services Office I (PSA-RSSO I) conducts the second level training for the 2023 Census of Philippine Business and Industry (CPBI) and 2023 Input-Output Survey of Philippine Business and Industry (IOSPBI) from 01 to 05 April 2024 at the Ynad’s Place Hotel and Resort, City of San Fernando, La Union.
Chief Statistics Specialist Nenita P. Rebarter of PSA Service and Industry Census Division (SICD), Senior Statistical Specialist Marivic A. Acosta of PSA Statistical Standards Division (SSD) and Senior Statistical Specialist Divino Amor P. Rivera of the PSA-RSSO I Statistical Operations and Coordination Division (SOCD) served as resource speakers. Meanwhile, Regional Director Atty. Sheila O. De Guzman welcomed the participants and encouraged everyone to actively participate in the training and give importance to the conduct of the CPBI as the results of this census are critical inputs to the estimation of the economic performance of the region.
The CPBI is one of the three national censuses being conducted by PSA per RA 10625 and designated statistical activity as per EO No. 352, series of 1996. The 2023 CPBI will encompass all formal and informal establishments in the country engaged in economic activities classified under the 2009 Philippine Standard Industrial Classification (PSIC), with some exceptions. Meanwhile, the IOSPBI will be a rider of this census which commence this month of April
