As the Philippine Statistics Authority – Regional Statistical Services Office I’s (PSA-RSSO I) way of adapting to the new normal, Atty. Sheila O. De Guzman, Officer-in-Charge (OIC) of PSA – RSSO I administered oath of office to nine newly hired and promoted personnel of the RSSO I and the Provincial Statistical Offices (PSOs) during the first virtual oath-taking ceremony on June 1, 2020 at PSA – RSSO I Conference Room, City of San Fernando, La Union.

In her welcome remarks, Atty. De Guzman congratulated the employees and emphasized that they must work for the betterment of the agency and in the delivery of quality services to the public.

Out of the nine employees who took oath, three employees were from the RSSO I: Statistical Specialist II (SS II) Maura B. Florague, Information Officer I (IO I) Jim Ian A. Bautista and Administrative Assistant II (AA II) Analie F. Carolino; one employee from Ilocos Sur PSO: Administrative Officer I (AO I) Mary Claire U. Ragasa; two employees from Pangasinan PSO: Supervising Statistical Specialist (SSS) Ferdinand Q. Jocutan and Statistical Analyst (SA) Josephine L. Rosario; two from Ilocos Norte PSO: SA Michael C. Gapuzan and Registration Officer I (RO I) Helen B. Perdido; and one from La Union PSO: Assistant Statistician (AS) Reynante B. Bautista.

Personnel from RSSO I and La Union PSO were able to attend physically to the event. Social distancing was observed and all participants were required to wear face masks.

The event marked RSSO I’s first virtual oath-taking ceremony which was followed by the onboarding orientation for the newly hired personnel. Policies of the agency and employees’ benefits and privileges were also discussed by Engr. Arturo S. De Sola, OIC of the Civil Registration and Administrative Services Division (CRASD) and Administrative Officer IV (AO IV) Marivic M. Garcia, Human Resource Officer.
