The Philippine Statistics Authority – Regional Statistical Services Office I (PSA – RSSO I) spearheads the conduct of the 2022 Household Survey on Domestic Visitors (HSDV) on 17 October to 18 November 2022. The 2022 HSDV is a nationwide household-based survey by the PSA in collaboration with the Department of Tourism (DOT).

It is the sixth in a series of household survey on tourism and aims to generate updated data on domestic and international tourism at the household level.

In addition, data coming from this survey is essential for the DOT to be informed on the travel characteristics and preferences of domestic travelers and are used as baselines in crafting the National Tourism Development Program in providing comprehensive information on domestic and international tourism for policy-making purposes.

About 384 randomly selected sample housing units will be visited in the region by hired Statistical Researchers (SRs).

The PSA enjoins all sample households to support the 2022 HSDV by providing the information needed. Hired SRs will visit the sample households to conduct a personal interview. All information collected from the sample households shall be kept strictly confidential by virtue of Rule 29 of the Implementing Rules and Regulation of Republic Act 10625.
